He witnessed the quiet heartbreak in a client’s eyes when they brought in a cherished piece – a grandmother’s ring, an anniversary necklace, a first gift – that had lost its life. It was dull, clouded, and a shadow of its former self. The sentiment was still there, but the sparkle that mirrored the memory was gone.
